This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store and protect information when you visit our website, contact us, create an account or use our services.
This policy applies to the Maxius Analytics marketing website and to personal data processed in connection with our products and services. Some processing described below only takes place when you choose to use the relevant service, feature or integration.

Information we collect
Information you provide to us
Depending on how you interact with Maxius Analytics, this may include:
- your name, email address, telephone number and company or business name;
- account and authentication information used to access our services;
- information you submit through our contact or support channels; and
- other information you choose to provide when communicating with us.
Business information
When you use a Maxius Analytics product or analytics service, you may provide business information such as sales data, labour and staffing data, inventory or stock information, operating costs, trading hours and other operational performance information.
Technical information
Our website and applications may process technical information needed to operate and secure the service, such as IP address, browser or device information, request and application logs, and security or diagnostic information.
How we use information
We may process information where necessary to:
- create and manage customer accounts;
- authenticate users and maintain secure access to our platform;
- process business data and provide requested analytics services;
- generate reports, findings and decision support outputs;
- respond to website enquiries and provide customer support;
- process and administer payments;
- operate, maintain, troubleshoot and improve our products and services;
- protect our services against misuse, fraud and security threats; and
- meet legal, regulatory and contractual obligations.
We do not sell personal information.
Lawful bases for processing
Where UK data protection law applies, our lawful basis depends on the purpose and circumstances of the processing. We may rely on performance of a contract, legitimate interests, consent, or compliance with a legal obligation. Where we rely on legitimate interests, we consider those interests against the rights and interests of the individuals concerned.
Controller and processor roles
Maxius Analytics may act in different data protection roles depending on the context. We generally act as a controller for information we collect and use for our own business purposes, including website enquiries, customer account administration, billing and direct communications with us.
Where a business customer provides personal data for us to process solely in order to deliver a service on that customer's instructions, Maxius Analytics may act as a processor and the customer may act as the controller. Where required, the relevant processing terms may be documented in a Data Processing Agreement.
Business data
Business data supplied by a customer remains the customer's data. We process it to provide the products and services requested, including analysis, reporting and decision support.
We do not sell customer business data, share confidential business information with third parties for their marketing, or use customer uploaded business data to train artificial intelligence models without the customer's permission.
Payments
Payments for relevant services are processed by Stripe. Maxius Analytics does not collect or store full payment card details. Payment information is processed by Stripe in accordance with its own terms and privacy practices.
Service providers and integrations
We use third party providers where necessary to operate our business and services. Our current infrastructure includes Render for application hosting, Neon for managed database services, Stripe for payment processing, and Namecheap Private Email for business email services.
Some products also allow customers to choose external integrations. For example, Profit Optimiser can connect with Square for sales information and Deputy for labour information. When you choose an integration, information may be exchanged with that provider as required to provide the connected functionality, subject to the provider's own terms and privacy practices.
Data security
We use technical and organisational measures designed to protect personal and business information against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure or loss. Depending on the service, these measures may include encrypted connections, password hashing, authenticated access, access controls, rate limiting, abuse protection and security updates.
No internet transmission or electronic storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
Data retention and deletion
We retain information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, including providing services, maintaining accounts, meeting legal or contractual obligations, resolving disputes and protecting our legal rights.
Profit Optimiser does not currently provide a self service account deletion function. Customers who want to request account or personal data deletion can contact us. We will assess and action valid requests as appropriate, subject to information we are required or permitted to retain for legal, contractual, security or legitimate business purposes.
Sharing your information
We do not sell or rent personal information. We may disclose information:
- to service providers where necessary to operate or deliver our services;
- where you choose to connect a third party integration;
- where disclosure is required by law or a lawful authority;
- where reasonably necessary to establish, exercise or defend legal rights; or
- where you have asked or authorised us to do so.
Your data protection rights
Depending on the circumstances and the lawful basis for processing, UK data protection law may give you rights including access to your personal data, correction of inaccurate data, deletion, restriction, objection, data portability and withdrawal of consent where processing relies on consent.
To exercise a right, contact contact@maxiusanalytics.co.uk. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request.
If you have concerns about how we handle personal information, you may also have the right to complain to the UK's Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).
Cookies and search performance
We may use cookies or similar technologies where they are necessary for functionality, authentication or security. Based on our current marketing website setup, we do not use Google Analytics, advertising pixels or similar behavioural analytics tools on the website.
We use Google Search Console to understand how the Maxius Analytics website appears and performs in Google Search, including information such as search impressions, clicks, search queries and search position. Search Console is not used by us as an on-site behavioural analytics tool.
If we introduce additional analytics or non-essential tracking technologies, we will update this policy and implement appropriate controls where required.
International data transfers
Some service providers may process information outside the United Kingdom. Where UK data protection law requires safeguards for an international transfer, we take reasonable steps to ensure an appropriate transfer mechanism or other lawful safeguard applies.
Children's privacy
Our website, products and services are intended for businesses and business users and are not directed at children under 18. We do not knowingly seek to collect personal information from children.
Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes to our services, technology, providers, legal requirements or business practices. The current version will be published on this page with its latest revision date.
